Abstract

ETHNOMEDICINE FOR RABIES

Ajay Kumar*, Dinbandhu Kumar Kanavjiya and Jai Kumar Singh

ABSTRACT

This review concluded that tribes living in remote areas depends only on these medicinal plants for treating disease like rabies. This study was based on scientific literature review of articles related to rabies treatment from medicinal plant. The result showed that medicinal plants have exhibited their anti-rabies property through their respective root, leaf, stem, bark etc. knowledge and skill of medicinal plant in treatment of dog bite is incredible which should be preserved. This provides a base for enhancing knowledge toward ethno-medically important plant for rabies.
