Abstract

TO STUDY VARIOUS ANTI-DIABETIC DRUG MODEL AND TREATMENT PROFILE

ABSTRACT

Diabetes is a metabolic disease, in which the patient has high blood glucose level. There are two type of diabetes – diabetes insipidus & diabetes mellitus which is characterized by hyperglycemia. Hyperglycemia is caused due to many regions like inadequate insulin synthesis, secretion & destruction of pancreas beta cells which is responsible for insulin secretion. Overtime, high blood glucose leads to many health problems such as heart diseases, stock, kidney diseases, eye problems, foot problems etc. Various symptoms seem in diabetes, producing large amounts of pale urine, frequently urination, preferring cold drinks, dry mouth, nausea etc. Some ayurvedic herbs and their parts (Amla, Hemp, Aloe vera, Tulsi, Turmeric, Methi) are used for the better treatment of diabetes, various allopathic medicines (Ibuprofen, Indomethacin, Desmopressin, Hydrochloro thiazide etc.) and home remedies are also used to cure diseases. Ayurvedic medicines or herbs cure diseases without cause any side effect as compare to allopathic and other traditional systems. A review about of some anti-diabetic drugs is used to treat diabetes in ayurvedic, allopathic systems and their home remedies.
