ABSTRACT

In the last few years natural medicines were mostly used for the prevention and treatment of human diseases. These natural medicines were developed from the phytoconstituents obtained from the plant sources. The study on the plant sources started with the extraction process which plays a crucial role in the outcome of the phytoconstituents. The aim of this review is to provide a brief explain on processes which can be carried out to extract the phytoconstituents. This also gives the parameters for selecting an appropriate extraction method.
