Dr. Krishna Kumar* and Dr. Shivam Chaubey

ABSTRACT

Sharir Rachana is a fundamental subject in medical science. As a result, Sharir concepts must be clarified. Ayurveda provides various concepts of sharir that should be explained on a modern basis. Strotas is an Ayurvedic term and a fundamental concept in Ayurveda, but it should be understood by Ayurvedic students. Charak explained strotas from a medicinal standpoint, whereas Sushrut explained strotas from a surgical standpoint. Pranavaha strotas is the first and most important strotas, carrying pran throughout the body. This article explains the idea of this strotas, how it is related to the respiratory system, and internal and external respiration by studying mulasthana, vidha laxanas, and vahana, as well as concern references regarding prahvaha strotas, respiration, and so on. It will help ayurvedic students clarify their ideas about strotas and pranvaha strotas. This article explains how Pranavaha strotas are related to the heart, lungs, and other structures such as the pulmonary artery and pulmonary vein.

Keywords: Pranavaha strotas, prana, respiration, strotas, lungs, oxygen.
