Abstract

SYNTHESIS, CHARACTERIZATION & EVALUATION OF ANALGESIC ACTIVITY OF NEWER CARBAZOLE DERIVATIVES

ABSTRACT

Newer carbazole derivatives (4a-4f) are synthesized by using an appropriate method and also checked for analgesic activity by using actuated nociception in rodent paw hot plate model. For the confirmation of chemical structures of newly synthesized carbazole derivatives we have used FTIR, 1HNMR and elemental analysis, also determined melting point, TLC and solubility of all newly synthesized derivatives. All the values of FTIR, 1HNMR and TLC were found to be prominent. Newly synthesized carbazole derivatives 4d and 4e were found more effective against analgesic activity.
