Abstract

INDIAN HERBS USES IN DIFFERENT DISEASES

ABSTRACT

The World Health Organization (WHO) defines herbal medicine as an execution that contains herbs, herbal materials, herbal preparations, and finished herbal products, that contain as active ingredients parts of plants, or other plant materials, or combinations. Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha, Homeopathy is an oldest Indian medicine which has an acceptance all over the world. Indian medicinal plants or herbs are considered best as it is responding well towards any kind of disease which also helps in prevention and treatment. Nowadays the lifestyle that we are living can have some adverse effect thus by introducing some changes in our daily routine can keep us healthy. As they are used in Indian spices in the food they rejuvenate the body through our diet. The word herb is derived from the Latin word herba which refers to any part of a plant including its bark, flower, fruit, leaf, seed, and root, etc. which have some medicinal property that shows different therapeutic action. In India, there are 8000 herbs out of which some are easily available. Medicinal plants not only provide livelihood but also provides quality healthcare to people. Plants have been a major source of drugs from ancient times in India. This review gives an overview of herbal plant uses in life regarding various problems in the body. As they are nontoxic, therefore, their products are often recommended to get a higher therapeutic effect. Herbal plants are considered good over synthetic medicines.
