TYPICAL CLINICO-PATHOLOGY OF COVID-19 DISEASE IN AYURVEDIC ASPECT - A LITERATURE REVIEW W.S.R. TO CHARAK SAMHITA

ABSTRACT Coronavirus disease 19 (COVID-19) has been emerged as a biggest threat to public health across the globe. A substantial outbreak is occurring in India also. Presently there is no any clinically-proven prophylaxis and therapeutic strategy for this disease in conventional medical system. Recently Government of India has focused to Ayurveda to combat COVID-19 in India. Hence it is essential to explore COVID-19 in traditional Ayurvedic concept as per approach of reverse pharmacology. In this review, typical patho-physiology and clinical manifestation of COVID-19 has been analyzed to find out the corresponding clinico-pathology in Ayurveda, based on contemporary scientific studies as well as Ayurveda classics.
