GOLDEN NANOTHERANOSTICS

ABSTRACT

“Theranostic” is a term being employed for the use of two different methodologies i.e. therapy and diagnosis into a singular platform. Use of such multimodalities together into single platform helps us to gain better control over disease.[1,2] Both the compartments of theranostics have different role to carry out, therapeutic compartment deals with disease treatment while diagnostic compartment provides vision/image of ongoing therapy. Since ages we have been using solo therapeutic option for treatment which causes therapy failure in case of critical Diseases like Cancer. Most common reasons behind such conventional therapeutic failure are off target effect, drug resistance and systematic toxicity.[3,4] Hence, theranostic helps us to monitor thetherapy and design personalized therapy for the patients.
