Abstract

A REVIEW BASED ON DIARRHOEA IN CORONAVIRUS INFECTION

ABSTRACT

The novel coronavirus, or SARS-CoV-2, is a highly contagious coronavirus that has spread worldwide since its discovery in December 2019. Coronavirus disease -2019(COVID-19) Spreading globally and possess a huge threat to human health and sometimes leads to a death. The resulting illness is Covid-19, which has numerous symptoms and may also cause diarrhoea. The feces of Covid-19 patients may be able to transmit the disease. The main symptom of diarrhoea is passing loose, Watery stools three or more times a day or at a more frequent rate than usual for an individual.SARS-COV-2 might infect the gastrointestinal tract through its viral receptor angiotensin-converting enzyme 2(ACE2).People with Covid-19 report a wide range of symptoms, ranging from mild to severe. Diarrhoea is occurred as a symptom in covid 19 patients in the ranging from 4% to 24% of cases. In some people gastrointestinal issues as the only sign of Covid-19, without more common flu-like symptoms. So diarrhoea is main gastrointestinal symptom in covid-19 patients.
