Abstract

LIPID POLYMER HYBRID NANOPARTICLE: A NEW GENERATION DELIVERY SYSTEM

Sandhiya V.* and Ubaidulla U.

ABSTRACT

Lipid–polymer hybrid nanoparticles (LPNs) are next-generation core-shell nanoparticle structure comprise polymer cores and lipid/lipid–PEG shells, which construct corresponding uniqueness of both polymeric nanoparticles and liposome’s, especially in terms of their bodily constancy and biocompatibility. Lately, the LPNs contain be exposed to have better in vivo cellular release efficiency compare to that obtain from polymeric nanoparticles and liposomes. Since their beginning, the LPNs contain higher significantly in conditions of their grounding plan and scope of application. LPN research has undergone an important move from the customary two-step method to the currently far and wide used two-step method, which is additional multifaceted principal-wise and so far easy to carry out, relying on self-assembly of lipid and polymer. This has resulted in an improved formation and high manufacturing throughput as well. Unlike the premature days at what time LPNs were used typically for retiring drug delivery in anticancer therapy, at the present they are extensively used in combinatorial and lively drug targeted release, the liberation of genetic material, vaccines, and in superior analytic procedures as well. This review throws light on the most current condition of growth of the preparation and application of LPNs.

Keywords: Lipid polymer hybrid nanoparticle, preparation, mechanism of hybrid formation.
