ABSTRACT
Efonidpine Hydrochloride Ethanolate (EFD) and Telmisartan (TEL) combination is used in treatment of Hypertension. Two sensitive, precise, accurate for first order derivative and UV spectrophotometric method for the estimation of TEL and EFD in bulk and tablet dosage form. Method A involved Simultaneous equation method. In this method two wavelengths 233 nm (λ max of TEL) and 251 nm (λ max of EFD) were selected. Method B was first order derivative spectroscopy where the derivative amplitude was measured at selected wavelengths (293 nm for TEL and 361 nm EFD). For both the methods linearity in the concentration of 6-30μg/ml for TEL and 3-15μg/ml for EFD. The proposed methods have been applied successfully to the analysis of cited drugs in the pharmaceutical formulation. Recovery study were also performed to confirm the accuracy of the method. According to ICH guidelines the methods were validated.
