A REVIEW ON PREVENTION AND TREATMENT OF PREGNANCY ANAEMIA

ABSTRACT
The pregnancy anaemia is defined as a haemoglobin level of <110 g/L before20 week gestation or <105 g/L or after 20 weeks gestation. Anaemia is the condition common 1 complication type of pregnancy is associated with maternal, foetal and also infant morbidity terms. Iron deficiency anaemia is the most common type of cause found in anaemia with pregnant women commonly, Prevention of IDA and adequate treatment for the all pregnant women with Iron deficiency anaemia is considered as best treatment. First line treatment therapy for Iron deficiency anaemia in pregnancy is oral iron replacement therapy.
Recent knowledge has now been suggested lower doses of iron Supplementation may be as effective as higher doses. Intravenous iron is a second line treatment for Iron deficiency anaemia.in this article. In this article present that a review of the causes of anaemia, a suggested for the investigation of anaemia in pregnancy and a review of the treatment and options reflecting the current understanding terms of the physiology of iron absorption in women, children and infants body.
