Abstract

COVID-19: OVERVIEW OF NATURAL IMMUNOMODULATORS TOWARDS PREVENTION OF PANDEMIC

ABSTRACT

The current situation portrays that the world has been gripped by the COVID-19 pandemic. COVID-19 (Coronavirus disease) is a novel infectious disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) which belongs to the coronaviridae family. Since December 2019, SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) have appeared and up till now, the world is as yet in the territory of shock. Impaired immune regulation is the factor that play important role in its pathogenesis. The unabated transmission is because of the absence of medications, antibodies, and therapeutics against this viral flare-up. Consequently, the effective COVID-19 circumstance features a prompt requirement for powerful therapeutics against SARS-CoV-2. Curtailing of the disease can be done by using preventive therapies like spices (Black cumin, Ginger, Garlic, Turmeric) and Herbs (Liquorice, Giloy, Basil, Winter cherry) that are widely available and utilized in day-to-day life which can act as natural immunomodulators by stimulating, modulating, or suppressing any aspect of the immune system.
