Abstract

A REVIEW ON COLON TARGETED DRUG DELIVERY

ABSTRACT

In last two decades various attempts have been made to develop a colon specific drug delivery, which will release the drug in colon. This can be achieved by using technological and scientific advancement there by preventing the drug release in other parts of G.I.T. Many approaches are utilized in developing such dosage form viz. pH, bacteria, pressure and time dependent drug delivery .By utilizing one of above mentioned techniques it is possible to deliver drugs to colon.
