LIQUISOLID COMPACTS: A REVIEW

ABSTRACT

Bioavailability is affected by drug dissolution and it's release from the dosage form which is depend on the solubility of drug. Pharmaceutical industries faces major issues of solubility that results in Bioavailability. To enhance Solubility of low soluble drugs, the liquisolid compact technique is advance one. C oating agents and carriers added appropriately results in transformation of liquid drug in solution or suspension into dry, non sticky, compactible, free flowing powders. With comparison to convectional tablets this liquisolid compact technique has capability of enhancing the absorbtion of less soluble drugs in their molecularly dispersed form, rate of dissolution, aquoes solubility that increase it's bioavailability by using less production cost and simple manufacturing procedures.
