ABSTRACT
Cell-derived membrane vesicle (CMVs), Exosomes are endogenous carriers. They appear to play important role in many diseases. Exosome released from different type of cell have different biological effect and targeting specificities. Therefore, depending on therapeutic goal different type of exosome combined with specific drug and serve as carrier and high drug carrying capacity make them useful in the treatment of a variety of diseases. In addition exosomes are not subject to attack by opsonins, complement, coagulation factor or antibodies in the circulation. They have ability to cross biological barrier and also they can be synthesize in vitro. This review will focus on exosome as natural drug delivery vehicle with emphasis on their composition biogenesis and applications.
Keywords: Exosomes, Cell derived membrane vesicle, biogenesis.
