“ROLE OF DURVADI TAILA IN MANAGEMENT OF PARIKARTIKA (FISSURE –IN-ANO) IN SHALYA TANTRA”- A CLINICAL STUDY

ABSTRACT

Todays quick way of life, the greater part of the population has faces numerous infection among them ano-rectal issues, in which fissure –in –ano is the most common which is related to the anal region showing the presence of fissure or a crack. The prominent symptomatology of this condition incorporates severe pain during and after defaecation. According to Ayurveda Parikartika/Fissure in ano is very common and painful condition. In this study Parikartika was treated by Durvadi taila pichu, Patient has attend the O.P.D of Shalya tantra department of Govt Ayurved College and Hospital with the Complaint Pain, Bleeding during & after defecation, Tenderness and Sphincter tone/Anal Spasm, Since 3 months, He has no history of hypertension, Diabetes- mellitus, Asthma. He used to take vegetarian diet, has normal sleep and moderate appetite. His bowel habit irregular and addiction of smoking, his blood pressure, pulse and other general factor were normal limit and body weight- 58 kg. On examination acute fissure seen at 6‘o’clock position. He was treated by Durvadi taila pichu, Total duration of treatment his pain, bleeding, sphincter tone/anal spasm was reduce up to 100%.
