Abstract

FORMULATION DEVELOPMENT AND IN VITRO EVALUATION OF EXTENDED RELEASE TABLET OF ANTIANGINAL DRUG

ABSTRACT

The goal of any drug delivery system is to provide a therapeutic amount of drug to the proper site in the body to achieve promptly and then maintain the desired drug concentration i.e. the drug-delivery system should deliver drug at a rate dictated by the needs of the body over a specified period of treatment. The study was focused on optimization of the formulation for the extended release tablet for treatment of antianginal condition. In this formulation used the pH dependent approach and using the polymer Eudragit L-100-55.
