"COMPARATIVE STUDY OF EFFECT OF KASHMARIKUTAJ GHRIT UTTARBASTI AND INDRAYAW CHURNA IN ASRUJA YONIVYAPAD"

ABSTRACT

Reduction of maternal mortality is one of the major goals of several recent international conferences and has been included in the millennium development goals (MDGs). Management of this excessive bleeding is a challenging job for a gynecologist. Hysterectomy is inappropriate in woman who wishes to retain fertility and Womanhood. So, in clinical practice there is a need for adequate treatment to prevent anemia and diminish the individual discomfort caused by heavy blood loss. Curettage or ergot type drugs have been doubtful. For the purpose of comparative study 60 patients of Asruja Yonivyapad were selected for study. These were divided into 2 groups i.e. 30 patients in each, one was for experimental group and other for control group by random selection method. The cases on admission underwent through clinical examination and routine laboratory investigations specialized investigation like USG pelvis also performed for assessment of derangement in uterine function. All patients were observed for the effect of drug or any adverse effect. It is concluded that Uttarbasti of kashmarikutai Ghrit is more effective in Asruja yonivyapad than indrayaw churna and seeta.
