Life without movement is the worst tragedy that can happen to any living organism. Shoulder joint has the greatest range of motion among all joints in the human body. Ayurveda has a great role to manage this disease successfully. Uttarabhakthika snehapana is one among the treatments told by Acharyas for the management of this disease. Here an effort is made to assess the efficacy of Uttarabhaktika Snehapana in the management of Apabahuka. Group A and Group B received Uttarabhakthika snehapana with Mahakalyanaka grutha and Guggulu tiktaka grutha for 7 consecutive days respectively. Statistical analysis revealed that both the interventions were effective in reducing all the signs and symptoms of Apabahuka, however in parameters like degree of Abduction, extension and internal rotation, Group A patients showed better response than Group B patients.
