EFFECT OF ABHYANTARA PAN OF TRIPHALA GHRITA AND YASHTIMADHU CHURNA AND TRIPHALA CHURNA WITH MADHU IN SIMPLE MYOPIA - CASE REPORT

ABSTRACT

A 26 yrs old male, resident in Vathar, dist- Kolhapur, having continuous headache and diminution of vision with already diagnosed as Myopia using spects since 10 yrs. His refractive error was spherical 0.75 D for both the eyes. He undergone many times the treatment for headache. But unfortunately it was temporary symptomatic relief. After that he came to my OPD for ayurvedic treatment for the same. I gave him the abhyantarpan of Triphala ghrita with Yashtimadhu churna & triphala churna with madhu at night for continuous one month with hitahara according to Vagbhata said in Timir Pratishedh Adhyaya. He felt so comfortable after taking treatment. His headache was totally gone and vision was improved as he stopped wearing spects. To conclude, the result from this case has underlinedthe therapeutic role of above said treatment regimen in Timir i. e. Myopia and also the role of ayurvedic medicine to enhance the ocular health and quality of life of the patient and restrict complications of modern drugs.
