ABSTRACT Receptor for advanced glycated end products (RAGE) are trans-membrane receptor which has been implicated in physiological and pathological pathways of various diseases like cardiovascular diseases, cancer, neurodegenerative and autoimmune diseases. Though a target for various ligands its interaction with advanced glycated end products (AGE) has been implicated in the development and deterioration of various diseases and hence has become a potential therapeutic target for alleviation of these diseases.
