Abstract

DEVELOPMENT AND VALIDATION OF STABILITY INDICATING ASSAY FOR THE ESTIMATION OF AMIODARONE IN TABLET DOSAGE FORM BY UV SPECTROPHOTOMETRIC METHOD

ABSTRACT

A new selective and sensitive UV spectrophotometric estimation in UV region has been developed for the estimation of amiodarone (AMD) in pharmaceutical dosage form. The method have been developed and validated for the assay of amiodarone using methanol: water (60:40) v/v as diluents. Which does not shows any interference in spectrophotometric estimations. All the parameters of the analysis were chosen according to ICH [Q2 (R1)] guideline and validated statistically using SD and %RSD along with neat chromatograms.
