DEVELOPMENT AND VALIDATION OF BULK AND DOSAGE FORM OF MEFENAMIC ACID USING UV SPECTROPHOTOMETER

ABSTRACT
The present research gives the method validation of mefenamic acid
dosage by UV spectrophotometer. Mefenamic acid is having low water
solubility it was dissolved in methanol and the calibration curve was
obtained after preparing the different dilutions from the standard stock
solution. The method validation was done as per ICH guidelines and
the results of the different parameters were observed. the linearity of
the drug was maintained from 2-10 μg/ml. The further accuracy and
precision parameters were also done on the sample. Along with this the
parameters like LOD, LOQ, robustness, and ruggedness were also
performed and is well explained in the research. The calibration curve
is showing the regression coefficient of 0.995 and it follows Beer-lambert’s law. The research
helps analyze the optimization of the drug using the UV spectrophotomter
