ABSTRACT
The HPTLC fingerprinting analysis carried out for medicinal seed extracts of Trachyspermum ammi (L.) (Apiaceae), Trigonella foenum- graecum L. (Fabaceae) and Piper nigum L. (Piperaceae). The aim of the present study to identification of active compounds and isolation, quantification by using HPTLC fingerprint technique. The phyto chemical compounds from medicinal plants were identified and separation by hexane, ethyl acetate solvents systems. HPTLC chromatogram observed at 254 nm. The plant extract samples were shows the presence of essential oils. The peak range, Rf values and area of percentage also obtained and determine the bioactive compounds for future research to discover the novel drug.
Keywords: HPTLC finger print, hexane, ethyl acetate, Trachyspermum ammi (L.), Trigonella foenum - graecum L., Piper nigum L.
