ABSTRACT
Plants serve a large reserve of antioxidants to mankind and thus help to get rid of large metabolic waste in humans. So, Protective effect on DNA against oxidative damage was well studied and characterised by so many scientists. From previous results it was clearly known that metosartan induces ss breaks in DNA, So screening for protection against metosartan from plants and herbs like C. sativum, M. spicata and C.sinensis have proved to be useful. C.sinensis partially protects against ss breaks induced in DNA due to metosartan but doesn’t inhibits the damage completely. M. spicata induced ds breaks where as C.sativum induced ss breaks and foci in DNA.
Keywords: Foci, C. sativum, M. spicata, C. sinensis, Metosartan.
