DRUG SPECIFICITY TO BINDING BOVINE SERUM ALBUMIN AND METHOD USED TO ASSES DRUG PROTEIN INTERACTION – REVIEW
Kamble Aarti* and Ishte Ashwini
ABSTRACT
In the reported study, binding of different drug to the bovine serum albumin in which binding site was investigated. The strength of binding between drug and albumin depend on physical and chemical properties of drug; also have ability to the drug binding to the albumin. From the plasma protein binding study, they are introducing the pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamics properties of specific drug. In this review focuses on the drug specificity to binding BSA, different method access to the protein drug interaction, protein- protein interaction. Traditionally Equilibrium Dialysis is used for estimation of
protein interaction, but it does not refer from many drawbacks. Now a vast method has been available to the determination of specificity of drug to binding protein. In description of principle of each method have advantages and disadvantage is outlined. Finally, discussion help user chooses the most suitable method as per own approach from different method.
Keywords: Bovine serum albumin; Plasma protein binding; Drug- protein interaction determination method.
