ENDOCRINE CONSEQUENCES OF ANOREXIA NERVOSA: A REVIEW

ABSTRACT
During last 50 years the agriculture practise has changed tremendously and had rapid growth in demands. To meet the growing demands, productivity, greater diversity of foods and less seasonal dependence have established. The trend of food consumption and choices had changed significantly. This changes had caused various ailments, including thinness, overweight and obesity. Anorexia nervosa is an debilitating disorder which is characterized by selfâimposed restriction of food intake, low body weight, and disturbed body image. Severity of changes occur in body due to under nutrition affect the endocrine system.
