ABSTRACT
The infectious Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has taken the world by its grip. The whopping number of active cases and fatalities are unprecedented. The novel coronavirus outbreak, which originated from Wuhan, China, in December 2019 [1] was declared as a global pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO) on March 11, 2020. [1] As of 11 April 2020, more than 1.69 million cases have been reported in more than 200 countries and territories, resulting in more than 102,000 deaths.[2] COVID-19 has affected everyone across the globe with United State, Spain, Italy, Germany, France and China been hit the hardest. India as of April 12 April 2020 (5:00 PM) recorded a total of 8447 COVID-19 cases, according to the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW).[3] The entire population has been working at their level and in solidarity to fight against COVID-19. As the government is working on preparedness and response measures, including enacting laws to break the chain and spread, the healthcare workers and frontline workers are boldly mitigating the disease and millions of people are remaining under locked-down as a part of containment plans. The reach to normalcy is however a guess for anyone at this point.
