Priyanka P. Pawar* and Aishwarya V. Narke
ABSTRACT
Hantavirus are carried by numerous rodent species throughout the world. Hantavirus have the potential to cause two different types of disease in human hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS) and Hantavirus pulmonary syndrome (HPS). Approximately 1,50,000 to 2,00,000 cases of HFRS are hospitalized each year worldwide. There was no cure, no successful medication or treatment and disease agent was completely unknown. Public awareness and precautionary measures are the only ways to minimise the risk of Hantavirus disease. In this review briefly summarise that recent knowledge about Hantavirus infection.
Keywords: Hantavirus, rodent-borne, HFRS, HPS.
