Abstract

A REVIEW ON METHOD DEVELOPMENT AND VALIDATION OF SIMULTANEOUS ESTIMATION OF METFORMIN AND VOGLIBOSE IN BULK AND THEIR DOSAGE FORM

ABSTRACT

Metformin and Voglibose is used in combination in the prevention and treatment of Diabetes mellitus and is available in the market as tablet dosage form. The existing available literature reports explain there are different analytical methods available for estimation of metformin and voglibose individually as well as in combination. The different analytical methods include RP-HPLC, UV Spectrophotometric method, HPTLC, were available for estimation of metformin and voglibose. The existing available literature report do not include any stability indicating analytical method for simultaneous estimation of metformin and voglibose, hence there is scope to develop stability indicating RPHPLC method for simultaneous estimation of metformin and voglibose from their combine dosage form.
