STUDY AND ANALYSIS OF ANTI-HYPERGLYCAEMIC AND ANTI-HYPERLIPEDEMIC ACTIVITY OF AEGLE MARMELOS ETHANOIC LEAVES EXTRACT

ABSTRACT

Diabetes mellitus is a progressive metabolic disease that affects nearly all body systems and requires many methods of treatment along with proper management of biological parameters.]. The medicinal drugs developed from natural plants constituents were less susceptible to side effects and less toxic effects in contrast to present allopathic medicines. The phytochemical test on leaves of Aegle Marmelos reveals that it contain many bioactive compounds that can be known to provide added advantages in improving health and can be utilized to work as nutraceutical. Present study showed ethanoic extract of A.marmelos leaves can be utilized for developing significant antidiabetic, hypolipidemic and antioxidant effects. It was found in the study that A. marmelos leaves extract contains numerous bioactive constituents that are required for development of these effects.
