Abstract

SEASONAL VARIATION OF ZOOSPORIC AND HYPHOMYCETOUS AQUATIC FUNGI OF YASHWANT SAGAR DAM, INDORE, (M.P.), INDIA

ABSTRACT

The total water requirement of Indore city is fulfilling by Yashwant Sagar dam which was constructed by Yashwant Rao Holkar in 1939. This dam generally gets contaminated by different micro organism in majority by Fungi. Which have been remained unexplored earlier? Thus, the present investigation plays significant role in diversity of aquatic fungi of Yashwant Sagar Dam. Consequently 12 genera and 19 species were found dominating in water. Majority were recorded in Winter 42.10% followed by Rainy 30.84% and Summer 27.04%.
