Abstract

BREAST CANCER: MOLECULAR MECHANISM

ABSTRACT

Breast cancer is the main cause of death among women across India and the globe. Breast cancer occurs due to external factors as well inherited. Some genes are identified on the human chromosome 17; named BRCA1 that suppresses the breast cancer susceptibility. BRCA1 is known to act as a tumor suppressor gene because in more than 90% of breast cancer cases, this gene is found to be mutated. In this review we attempted to characterize the mechanism of gene BRCA1 related to inhibition of Cancer.
