Sandeep J Jaybhaye*, Swapnali R.Shinde, Babita B. Lodhi
ABSTRACT The present study was carried out to evaluate the antihyperglycemic activity of Gliclazide subdermal implants in alloxan induced diabetic rabbits. Gliclazide implants (1mg/kg, 2mg/kg and 4mg/kg bd.wt) that produced an optimal reduction (25-30%) of blood glucose were selected for the study. Blood samples were collected at desired intervals of time and analyzed for blood glucose by GOD/POD method. Keywords: Subdermal Implants, Gliclazide, antihyperglycemic activity.
