ABSTRACT

Ayurved has been the epitome of both the curative and preventive aspects of disease and maintenance of health since more than 3000 years. However in the recent years after the rise in culture of Allopathic Medicine it appears that many important concepts postulated by Ayurved have faded in the cast of running time. Ojas is one such concept which though has been described in texts as an important body substance has lost its sheen of being considered in the current era of Ayurvedic Medication. The Literary review of Ojas was conducted by referring various texts to consolidate the reference, understand its concept and re-propagate its importance.
