FRUIT BODY PRODUCTION OF CORDYCEPS MILITARIS WITH SUITABLE METHOD IN RAJASTHAN: INDIA

ABSTRACT

Cordyceps militairs (L) link is an entomopathogenic fungus, which enjoyed an extensive medicinal utility in this study was the examine the suitable media and light on the fruit body growth of Cordyceps militairs in the rice based cultivation. The fungus was found rich in various chemical components like vitamins, proteins, trace elements, cordycepin and cordicepic acid. The optimal, parameters for fruit body production within the experimental range of the variables researched was at 10 to 30gm/l Dextrose with constant light intensity other experimental range of the variables researched was at 6 to 18hr/day light intensity with constant Dextrose concentration. This method provides an effective was for increasing the fruit body production at a large scale.
