MANAGEMENT OF AVN OF FEMUR WITH SPECIAL REFERANCE TO GAMBHIRA VATARAKTA – A CASE REPORT.

ABSTRACT

Avascular necrosis/ Osteonecrosis usually when there is lack of blood supply to the particular area due to various reasons. A case reported in our hospital was diagnosed with Avascular necrosis of femoral head and was treated for the same considering as Gambhira Vatarakta. The condition was treated with various Panchakarma procedures like Tikta Ksheera Basthi, Sarvanga Abhyanga, Sarvanga Patra Pinda Sweda, Sarvanga Kashya Seka etc. Patient was assessed for the improvement in the symptoms and the improvement was noted.
