Abstract

THE LITERARY REVIEW OF CO-RELATION BETWEEN CHANGING LIFESTYLE AND KUSHTA (SKIN DISEASES) HETU

ABSTRACT

Ayurveda is science of life and its main aim is to maintain healthy living being, i.e. prevention of disease and its treatment. As per Ayurvedic science sharir is made up of Dosha, Dhatu and Mala. Twacha is considered as Upadhatu of Mamsa Dhatu. Twacha is one among the five gyanendriyas having its perception as mention with respective diseases. In Ayurvedic classics, various opinion regarding twacha utpatti, stara and associated disorders are mentioned. This article is related to known and lesser known information of twacha and effect of changing lifestyle on skin and its correlation with Kushta hetu given in Ayurvedic text.
