CRITICAL REVIEW ON NIMBA (AZADIRACHTA INDICA)

ABSTRACT

Ayurveda deals with innumerable drugs with its complete description and therapeutic utility. These drugs are grouped into various groups according to guna, karma, parts used etc. Nimba is one such drug with great therapeutic utility. Recent studies have proven that Nimba possess Anti-inflammatory, Anti-arthritic, Anti-microbial, Anti-fungal, Anti-bacterial, Anti-fertility, Immunostimulant activity etc, Though many research works have been carried out on Nimba till date, this review is intended to highlight the significance of biological activity of different parts used in Nimba along with its therapeutic utility.
