The difference between mean of systolic and diastolic blood pressure before and after pranayama is significant in statistical parameters as P value is <0.05. It is observed that Bhastrika Pranayama increases the diastolic as well as systolic blood pressure. This is due to increased respiratory rate and also excessive pressure created in the lungs.
