ZOOPLANKTON ANALYSIS OF WATER SAMPLE OF FISH SEED, STOCKING TANK

ABSTRACT

The high availability of the wild fish seed in the back waters of Krishna and Godavari district is promoting the aquaculture in most of the coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh. Seed collection operations are practiced by the fisherman in theses villages. Large scale seed collection is practiced in these regions. These collected seeds are stocked in small ponds near the collection sites. The ponds water for seed rearing is analysed by paper microscope and results are presented in the paper. The photographs indicated the presence of Euglena, paramecium and cladocera.
