Abstract

THERAPEUTIC POTENCY OF SIDDHA POLYHERBAL FORMULATION SIGAMANI CHOORANAM: A REVIEW

ABSTRACT

Siddha system of medicine was established by Siddhars who exercised spiritual way of practice to attain salvation. They discovered many natural medicines which are widely used for treating many diseases. Sigamani chooranam, Siddha polyherbal formulation comprises of 24 ingredients and it is indicated for all kind of Vaatha diseases. The review of the formulation aimed to bring out the scientific evidence for the therapeutic usage and pharmacological activities responsible for the curative nature of the drug. Most of the ingredients have the Anti-inflammatory activity, Analgesic activity and Anti spasmodic activity hence justifying its usage in above mentioned disease.
