Different dilution of aqueous extract (100μl,90μl,80μl) of Ocimum basilicum (leaves), Aloe vera (gel) were tested for antibacterial activities agar well diffusion method. The results from agar well diffusion showed that Ocimum basilicum could inhibit Propionibacterium sp. And aloe vera could inhibit Staphylococcus aureus. Among these two plants Ocimum basilicum had strong inhibitory effect. The result shows that maximum inhibition observed against Propionibacterium sp. (19mm/100μl). the extract of aloe vera leaf has antibacterial susceptibility was observed against Staphylococcus aureus.
