Abstract

THE CONCEPT OF ASHAYAPAKARSHA AND IT’S APPLICATION

ABSTRACT

For treatment of any disease diagnosis of that disease plays an important role. But many times the lakshanas presented by the patient might mislead us in diagnosing the disease ashayapakarsha might be one of the pathology involved in such conditions. The prime reason for the ashayapakarsha to be involved in pathology is vitiated vata as only vata is active among dosha, dhatus, mala and others are inert. It can be assessed by understanding samprapthi of the disease and by observing the result of upashaya and anupashaya. This article reviews the literature and highlights about ashayapakarsha and its involvement in manifestation of disease.
