EFFICACY OF VARMAM THERAPY IN REGULATING THE SUBTLE ENERGY - UDANA VAYU - WHICH AIDS IN SPEECH DEVELOPMENT

ABSTRACT

Speech is human vocal communication using language. It is the expression of thoughts and feelings by articulate sounds. A speech disorder is a condition in which a person has problems creating or forming the speech sounds needed to communicate with others. Someone who is unable to speak due to a speech disorder is considered mute. An attempt was made in treating the speech disorder by stimulating the varmam points which regulate the subtle energy “udana vayu”, the primary vayu which aids in speech development. Some of the special children came for the treatment is taken for the clinical trials, varmam points are stimulated and the improvement are observed and discussed.
