METHOD DEVELOPMENT OF METFORMIN HYDROCHLORIDE RP-HPLC

ABSTRACT

A simple, specific, accurate and precise Reverse Phase High Performance Liquid Chromatographic method was developed metformin hydrochloride in tablet dosage form on RP Kromasil -ODS C18 using mobile phase as Methanol:orthophosphoric acid (50:50)The flow rate was 1.0 ml/min and effluent was monitored at 270nm. The retention time is 2.3 respectively.
