IMPORTANCE OF POORVA KARMA AND PASCHAT KARMA IN SHALYA CHIKITSA

ABSTRACT

Poorva and Paschat karma's are two among Trividha karma as mentioned by Acharya Sushrutha. Poorva karma means pre-operative procedures which includes Agropaharana (collection of materials for surgery), preparation of patient and preparation of surgeon. Paschat karma means post -operative procedures which includes Raksha karma, Vranitopasana.
