CONCEPTUAL STUDY OF LEENA DOSHA IN DISEASES

ABSTRACT

Ayurveda, “the science of life” is a time tested treasure of knowledge which explains human body as a congenial homeostasis of dosha, dhatu and mala. Our acharayas have given a very unique concept of “leena dosha”, this avastha we all tend to skip while drawing a line of treatment in our clinical practices. So enlightenment of this avastha is a must to maximize the scope of healing, as it plays a very major role in the manifestation of disease. In brihatrayees of ayurveda, scattered references of leena dosha are available; the present analysis is intended to highlight the ayurvedic aspect of leena dosha avastha in elaborated form.
