NEEDS OF INTERNALLY DISPLACED WOMEN AND CHILDREN IN DIYALA PROVINCE

ABSTRACT

Iraq has experienced a sever pattern of population displacement and emigration. Despite persistent efforts made by national authorities, these populations continue to face a lot of challenges relating to disabilities resulting from their movement in conflict zones. This is cross – sectional study of 202 families whom where displaced internally in Diayla province frolastfew years the corrent study from 1st December 2015 to 31stto july 2016A special question designed by the researcher for data collection about the health needs of women and children of these families and make questionnaire that contains data of name, Age, occupation, education of family head, no. of family members, date and the causes of displacement. In addition to environmental and security data, also data collected about children aged under 15 years health and education , followed by reproductive data about women at aged CBA (child bearing age) and the data are arranged in tables. The study concluded that 50.5% of the household head with daily income while 16.3% of them with monthly income and (I1.4%) of them were retired while 20.8% not working. Concerning the education of household head, only 12.4% of them completed university while 12.4% didn't attend schools.
